The seminar is a part of the “Serbia Criminal Defense Capacity Program” implemented by Partners Serbia in cooperation with ABA ROLI and the Bar Association of Serbia, supported by the US Department of State / Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

Over 30 lawyers from the Bar Association of Vojvodina attended the seminar. The lecturers at the seminar were Veljko Delibasic, PhD, a lawyer from Belgrade, who presented the main characteristics of the plea agreement, and Blazo Nedic of Partners Serbia who presented negotiation skills and techniques. Completion of both presentations was followed by 2 negotiation simulations in which the participants were divided into two groups – prosecutors and lawyers in order to conclude a plea agreement.

After preparation, participants conducted the simulation and presented the results of negotiation. All the participants got the feedback from the lecturers. At the very end of the seminar, participants had a chance to discuss and ask additional questions.
