The Project aims to strengthen the capacity of media organizations to implement privacy-friendly practices, align media business models with ethical and legal privacy standards, and foster a media ecosystem that balances user rights with financial sustainability.
The project will explore the role of the media as personal data controllers and assist them in handling online users’ data in accordance with the personal data protection legal framework.
This shall be achieved by conducting research, providing practical guidelines, offering training, and raising awareness of media stakeholders in the country.
