Series of Training on Representing Clients in Mediation

Partners Serbia, in cooperation with the Vojvodina Bar Association and the Bar Association of Kragujevac, organized 2 two-day trainings on the topic “Mediation and Advocacy – Representing Clients in Mediation”, one in Novi Sad and one Kragujevac, in December and January respectively. These trainings are part of the Bar Association Mediation Project, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Serbia, which Partners Serbia is implementing with the active participation of the representatives of the bars.

More than 50 attorneys and their trainees had the opportunity to learn about alternative methods of dispute resolution, the legal framework for the use of mediation in Serbia, international standards in this field, basic communication skills, conflict management, to find out the difference between mediation and court proceedings, learn about selection of mediable cases, how to prepare for mediation, and learns in detail about all stages of the mediation process.

Trainers at the training were Dragana Cuk Milankov, psychologist, mediator, and Blazo Nedic, lawyer, regional mediator of the World Bank and NUMS president.
