Final Conference of the “E-learning school of democracy and human rights” was held on 8 February 2012, in Belgrade Media Center, concluding the project implemented by Partners for Democratic Change Serbia and Committee for Human Rights in Nis in 2011, and supported by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia (EU Delegation).
Project activities, final project report, as well as mini projects supported within the program were presented at the Conference, while the students received program certificates.
The Conference gathered more than 40 guests – E-learning program participants, representatives of local self-governments and independent state bodies, as well as the EU Delegation. Students residing in Nis took part at the conference in Nis Media Center, with the direct video link to the Belgrade Conference.
The Conference speakers were Blažo Nedić, Partners for Democratic Change Serbia director, Yolanda San Jose, Head of Operations I, EU Delegation, two lecturers of the E-learning program – prof. dr Vesna Petrović, Executive Director of Belgrade Center for Human and Nenad Vujić, Director of the Judicial Academy, as well as Dragan Đorđević, coordinator in the Committee for Human Rights in Nis.
During the second part of the Conference, E-learning program students presented their mini project that were supported within the program. Milan Matejić and Milena Vučić, students from Niš, presented the project „Tolerance as a prevention of school violence“, Jovana Mijović from Belgrade presented the project „Equal (Truth) to the World“, Milica Jelić from Kraljevo presented the project „Letter to a Woman“, while Milica Bogdanov and Jelena Jović presented their project „Personal Data Protection“, implemented in Belgrade. Through a pilot project „E-learning school of democracy and human rights“ 146 students from 35 towns in Serbia participated in the on-line based comprehensive program on democracy and human rights, while the lectures were delivered by the the most prominent experts in this field.
