In cooperation with the Bar Association of Macedonia and Balkan Regional Rule of Law Network (BRRLN), Partners Serbia organised presentation of the Regional E-learning Program on 3 December 2015 in Skopje, Macedonia.
The program is implemented by Partners Serbia with the support of BRRLN, and is aimed at improving the system of continuing legal education (CLE) for advocates and advocate-trainees through development of an on-line training program in the territory covered by the BRRLN – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia and Serbia.
The Program will consist of series of on-line presentations and lectures that will be available at the BRRLN E-learning platform http://brrln.org/http/record.php?mv=1&id=77. The Program will cover topics related to protection of human rights in criminal proceedings, application of the European Convention for Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the European Court of Human Rights. Regional E-learning Program will be available to all interested advocates and advocate-trainees at any time and from any place, free of any charge.
The presentation was opened by Mr Nikola Dodevski, President of the Bar Association of Macedonia, Elisabeth Givens, BRRLN, Project Director, and Blazo Nedic, President, Partners Serbia. In addition to presentation of the Regional E-learning program, a lecture on the importance of use and interpretation of the ECtHR judgments and their application in national court proceedings by lawyers, trainees, and lawyers’ professional associates was given by Ms Ruzica Nikolovska, attorney-at-law. This lecture, as well as the lecture presented by Mr Ljubomir Mihajlovski, attorney-at-law, was recorded and will be available at the E-learning platform.
